June's To Be Read Pile...A Mile High

Current Read: The Vampire Shrink by Lynda Hilburn

*Sigh*

It is a daunting pile. It sits in the corner of my office, calling to me softly. It sways precariously in the breeze created by the fan blowing on high (it is d#$% hot in my office)...

Yes, it is my June "To Be Read" pile and it is growing at an astronomical rate. If I didn't have other responsibilities, other commitments, I would be anxiously anticipating diving in and wittling it down, title by title, until there was nothing left but an empty corner, some dust bunnies and a cobweb or two...As it is, I'll be lucky to get through one-third of it (and two-thirds of the titles are left over from May). A vision of drowning in a sea of paperbacks overwhelms me...

*Shriek*

Here it is, my June "To Be Read" pile. Some of these titles are brand-new, others are new to me but have been published for awhile. At this point there are no old favorites and stand-bys. The staggering height of the pile simply won't allow it!

* Letters From A Courtesan, Jenna Petersen
* A Rake's Guide to Seduction, Caroline Linden
* Nightkeepers, Jessica Andersen
* Tall Tales & Wedding Veils, Jane Graves
* Your Scandalous Ways, Loretta Chase
Private Arrangements, Sherry Thomas
Seduction Is Forever, Jenna Petersen
When He Was Wicked, Julia Quinn
Bet Me, Jennifer Crusie
Heart Thief, Robin D. Owens
Thirty Nights With A Highland Husband, Melissa Mayhue
Highland Guardian, Melissa Mayhue
Soul Of A Highlander, Melissa Mayhue
Mine Til Midnight, Lisa Kleypas
The Naked Earl, Sally MacKenzie

* June releases

Have you read any of these? What did you think? What's in your June TBR pile? Any bets on how far I will get?

Love Julia Quinn, Melissa Mayhue and Lisa Kleypas!! My pile is sky high too, along with several e-books I need to read. Thank God for my new e-reader! I love it.

The worst part of a great TBR pile is the fact that I want to be reading them all the time.

I'm about to start another book that looks great from Lindsay Townsend. It's called A Knight's Vow and is a historical.

Good luck with your reading, Tiffany!

Renee,

Thanks for the head's up re: Lindsay Townsend...oh, boy another one to add to my list! :0)

"All she wants to do is read, read, read...". Isn't that a song by Don Henley?

Thanks for coming by!

Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie is excellent as is Sherrie Thomas's Private Arrangements. A friend of mine just recommended Your Scandalous Ways. She loved it so it's on my list now.

Hmmm... my TBR pile: J.R. Ward's Lover Enshrined, Midnight Awakening by Lara Adrian, Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole, Man of the Hour - Diana Palmer, Quicksand - Iris Johansen, The Kiss and The Dangerous Beauty - Sophie Nash, Lifelines - C J Lyons, Nora Roberts' Blood Brothers and The Hollow, and...

I could go on and on. I have so many great reads here waiting for me. And, I'm going to the beach at the end of the month and hopefully can put a dent in the pile. A toast to so many wonderful books!

Thanks for stopping by the Romance Roundtable!

Lara,

*Eeek* Now I have to add all of those wonderful titles you suggested...I am in serious reading straights. I guess I am going to have to take a month off and go to Nantucket, sit on the beach and read...*giggles* If only it worked that way! :0)

It is definitely a testament to the strength, creativity and dedication of romance writers and readers that we have to struggle with such long TBR lists. :0)

Thanks for stopping by...I love RRT!

I know, I know. So many books, so little time.

Of the ones you have listed, I do recomend Bet Me. I won't add to your burden with other suggestions. I well know the temptation.

Alice,

Thanks - although a part of me is dying to know what you would add...perhaps that is why I get into reading trouble! Know when to say when, right?

Thanks for stopping by. Happy June reading!
